Unai Emery has hinted Arsenal could be busy in transfer activities in the next few days as he is expecting two players before the transfer window shuts down.
The Gunners have been linked with a number of players but haven’t managed to negotiate deals for any of them. Both Ivan Perisic and Denis Suarez are realistic targets but both Inter Milan and Barcelona are interested in permanent deals rather than temporary loans.
Emery already underlined the importance of loan deals due to the shortage of funds but time is running out for them. The North London giants are in the midst of a crisis during a number of injury issues and the former Sevilla and Valencia manager has been trying to solve the problems using the winter transfer window.
Emery said, “This transfer [window] is not easy and the message is the club is working on different players and the possibility if it can be is good for us.
“We are looking at two different players and the possibility they can come. If they aren’t coming to help us like we want, I prefer they don’t come.”
“We have enough players, centre-backs in the squad. Only we’re having a lot of injuries and a lot in this position.
“If we can bring another player and when all the players want to play, we can have a lot of trouble in the future.”
