Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid have already registered their interest for the winger but Unai Emery is planning to steal him with a quick bid.
Torres has gained attention this summer not because of a standout La Liga season but for the potential he has shown on the pitch. The Spaniard has appeared 37 times for Valencia this term and has delivered 3 goals and 2 assists.
He is still in the midst of a development stage and is available for £25m if the buyer agrees to include a future sell-on clause. Now, Arsenal are in need of wingers but at this point of time, they might not be able to risk that much on a diffident prospect.
But it also would be unfair to doubt Unai Emery’s scouting process since he did find a gem in Matteo Guendouzi last summer. The French midfielder has burst onto the scene after only coming from a Ligue 2 side, Lorient.
Torres is a product of Valencia’s youth setup, having progressed from the club’s B side. He has also represented Spain in the U17 and U19 categories all over 32 times.
