According to reports from Metro, Arsenal manager Unai Emery is requesting the club’s boards for extra funds so that he can sign Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.
Zaha is one of the most important players for Crystal Palace and has been so since joining them from Manchester United in 2015. The Ivorian forward has made 323 appearances for the club, scoring 53 goals and providing 65 assists. Last season, Zaha scored 10 goals and registered as many assists.
Zaha has attracted interested from both Arsenal and Manchester United. However, it looks like Arsenal have a better chance of signing Zaha while Manchester United, Wan-Bissaka.
Zaha’s transfer could cost a reported £55 million which exceeds Arsenal’s transfer budget that is reportedly €40 million. However, Unai Emery is eager to sign him and is demanding extra money from Arsenal’s board to sign Zaha.
Zaha is currently with the Ivory Coast national team at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
