According to reports, Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants Mesut Ozil to leave the club so that Arsenal can have funds to sign new players.
Ozil who signed a new contract for Arsenal till 2021, has barely been a regular for Emery in the last few weeks due to injuries.
He missed a few matches last month due to a back trouble before missing Arsenal’s matches against Liverpool, Fulham and Blackpool due to a knee injury.
Ozil was out of Emery’s squad for their Premier League match against West Ham which Arsenal lost 1-0.
Unai Emery wants to bolster Arsenal’s squad by signing a few players in the January transfer window and he thinks selling Ozil might give Arsenal sufficient funds to make signings.
Arsenal have been frequently linked with Denis Suarez lately and it seems that they may soon sign the youngster from Barcelona.
Earlier, there were reports linking Ozil to a move away from Arsenal. However, his agent dismissed such reports, saying that the former Germany international wanted to stay at the Emirates.
