The Frenchman has often been refused the chance to finish games quite a few times this season. Such was the case even under Arsene Wenger, after the introduction of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Unai Emery has managed to find the balance with two elite strikers in the side but Lacazette might still be unhappy with his reduced role. The 27-year-old scored a brilliant freekick to help his side move comfortably past Napoli to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Asked if he is happy with his current situation with the Gunners, Lacazette said, “I am happy when I play, of course, like any player. When I’m on the pitch, of course, there is joy. On the field and off, I keep smiling. You have to smile in life. I do one of the most beautiful jobs in the world, even if I could be even happier.”
The Frenchman has finished just two of the last ten fixtures while missing the entire 0-1 game against Watford on Monday.
With two strikers like Aubameyang and Lacazette in the side, there might be instances where one of the other is missing out but Emery could figure out a way to include by signing the right players.
