The VAR has had its fair share of controversy in England.

Not a single club is happy at how a technology can cause so much pain. Speaking of problematic and controversial football laws, the first and the most confusing things that come to mind is the offside rule.

Should a rule be changed? If so how? What will be the new rule?

Many experts, pundits, fans have complained about how offisde is not accurate or logical and now one of the best readers of the game and former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has provided his views on how the offside rule should be changed.

Wenger, FIFA’s head of global development, said: “You will not be offside if any part of the body that can score a goal is in line with the last defender, even if other parts of the attacker’s body are in front.

“That will sort it out and you will no longer have decisions about millimetres and a fraction of the attacker being in front of the defensive line.”

These new rules will definitely make it easier for fans to accept decision as it comes complimented with logic instead of hard core rules.
