According to the latest reports, David Moyes has recognized Arsenal’s Sead Kolasinac as his next transfer target.
Hammers fans are calling out for reinforcements after going through one of the worst seasons in top-flight football.
Moyes wants to strengthen the left-back spot and is currently looking at Kolasinac and Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri. Both players are expendable to each of their clubs and could be acquired for a bargain price.
Previous reports claimed that Kolasinac was close to sealing his exit. FC Schalke were interested in signing him back while there was also interest from the Serie A. AS Roma were thought to be monitoring him after selling Alexandre Kolarov to Inter Milan.
Kolasinac’s £100,000-per-week wages is turning out to be the real stump in his Arsenal exit. Almost no club wants to pay that much for a left-back of his quality in this market. That is also exactly the reason why the Gunners want to get rid of the 27-year-old. Mikel Arteta plans on adding superior talent and he needs to clear a lot of dead weight from the wage books.
Kolasinac still has two seasons left on his Arsenal contract and wants to fight for his place in the team. Kieran Tierney is clearly the better player and first choice as Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ terrific form prevents the Bosnian from even getting a look in.
