They ended last season after parting ways with their long term manager Arsene Wenger. It put a new man at the hot seat which was Unai Emery. Emery set to work in his own ways having to change a lot of things about the administration of the club.
He was also given a much smaller budget than most of the top four clubs which made it even tougher for him to succeed. After a long grueling season, the Gunners failed to finish in the top four missing out on the chance to qualify for UEFA Champions League.
They had a back up option by winning the Europa League but they failed to do so. However, despite these defeats, the missing out on Champions League was not their biggest loss this season.
They had to bid farewell to four major players amongst which are the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Petr Cech and Danny Welbeck. This in fact will be their biggest loss this season.
Arsenal fans are unlikely to see too many new faces and these losses will surely hit them hard.
