Why Arsenal should choose Ancelotti over Arteta

Football is a beautiful game.

Or it has been so for the past century. The game has emotions and it is played for the passion and the fans.

However, the introduction of business and marketing into the game saw the dynamics change completely. While historically big clubs have always had the pressure, there is now an added tension of falling behind status wise which directly affects the purses.

Look at Arsenal. Wenger’s reign brought them success and profit but simply because they did not move ahead and stuck with beautiful football, they lose ground.

Now with his successor Emery also failing, Arsenal have a choice to make.

There is Mikel Arteta on one side, who is a brilliant, intuitive innovator and having worked with Pep, he will surely bring a class and style to his game wherever he manages. However, his track record is nil as he is yet to debut.

On the other hand, they have a pragmatic Carlo Ancelotti, a serial winner of leagues and European trophies. Carlo however, does not care much for the style. He is more about getting the win.

For Arsenal, who want to remain relevant on the map, the Arteta gamble might just tilt them off the cliff if Mikel fails to deliver results. However, with Ancelotti there is more safety and security to at least get back their structure and status of a big club, which the Gunners need more than anything right now!
