According to the latest reports, Arsenal are interested in signing Fiorentina midfielder, Jordan Veretout to replace Aaron Ramsey next season.
It is common knowledge now that the latter will be leaving for Juventus post this campaign. He has already signed a £400,000-per-week contract with the Bianconeri in January.
Despite committing his future elsewhere, Ramsey has continued to perform at an electric rate for the Gunners. His impact is still higher than some of the veteran players in his position who are due to stay at the Emirates for longer.
The 28-year-old has scored crucial goals this season, maintaining a tally of 5 in 27 appearances along with 8 assists. His departure surely needs to be addressed and Unai Emery seems to have picked this Violas player.
Veretout has racked up 5 goals and 4 assists in 30 appearances this term. He has 25 games worth of Premier League experience from his two-year spell with Aston Villa.
The 26-year-old is a versatile presence in midfield. He can play almost all central positions like Ramsey but is truly his best from the deep-lying creative role.
Veretout made his name with Nantes in the early stages of his career and won a lot of caps for France at youth levels. Granted, his name is not well known amongst the Arsenal fans but his services could be acquired for cheap.
Reports claim that Gunners can sign him for as much as €25m in the offseason.
