At one point, Aleksandr Kokorin was regarded as one of Russia’s top players, and several elite teams wished to sign him

One of them is Arsenal, who believes he is excellent enough to strengthen their team. When the Russian played for Dynamo Moscow, he was approached about moving to the Emirates. Arsenal didn’t sign him, though, and it has now been discovered that he made the decision to stay put on his own accord.

He had thought that his team was improving and was on par with Arsenal at the moment, but things suddenly fell apart.

He says in an interview with Fiorentina News: “I declined a transfer to the Gunners. My club, Dynamo Moscow, had a significant initiative going on while we were competing in the Europa League. There was a time when I believed the team could compete with Arsenal. We then went insane, and a lot of people fled.

A football player’s career is incredibly sensitive, and one poor choice could alter it and prevent them from ever reaching the levels that are expected of them.

Kokorin probably would have had a more prosperous career if he had relocated to the United Arab Emirates.
