Arsenal ace responds to club exit rumours

The player has attracted interest from few clubs this summer

Hector Bellerin has been with Arsenal since he was 16 after he joined from Barcelona back in 2011. He was moved to the youth team and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2013.

The Spain International burst onto the scene with the Gunners in 2015 and since then he has been a mainstay in the defense, establishing himself as one of the world’s best full-back.

The 23 year old featured regularly for the club last season, making 34 Premier League appearances. But endured a mixed season as his form dropped towards the end of the campaign, as he struggled to make any impact for them.

The defender has been linked with a summer exit, with his former club Barca tipped to make an attempt to bring him back. Even Manchester City has been linked with a move as Pep Guardiola is an huge admirer of him.

Unai Emery has been appointed as the new club manager after Arsene Wenger stepped down after 22 years. He signed Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus on a free transfer and it further intensified the speculations that the Spaniard could leave before the transfer window.

But Bellerin cleared the uncertainty by admitting he is shocked he has to answer questions about his future and claimed that he has no intentions of leaving the Premier League giants.

“It is crazy that people ask me these questions all the time,” said Bellerin as quoted by Standard.

“A few years ago I signed a very long-term contract. I have never said that I have wanted to be anywhere else.

“I am very happy in London. I am very happy at this club.

“The club have made me who I am and gave me the chance to be the footballer I am today. So I don’t want to be anywhere else.”
