Arsenal Agree To Give Away £20,000 Worth Of Seats For Manchester United Fixture

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Manchester United to give away £20,000 worth of free tickets for the FA Cup fixture between the two sides.

United had complained to the Football Association for receiving a lower allocation of only 5000 seats which the Gunners defended by claiming safety reasons. However, the governing body refused to side with the hosts and asked the two clubs to find common ground.

The North London stadium can accommodate 60,000 viewers out of which the Red Devils are entitled to 9,000 seats (15%). United have previously been allowed to host FA Cup ties where simply 11.7% of the Old Trafford’s 76,000 capacity was given away.

Now, the Red Devils have proposed that Arsenal give away the remaining 4,000 seats to charity and the Gunners have agreed.

Tickets are worth £36.5 for adult members and £56.5 for adult non-members. The two teams are set to face off on 25th January.

Arsenal beat Blackpool 0-3 in the 3rd Round of the competition and are due to face Chelsea this weekend. Unai Emery has to work his way around the difficult fixtures to challenge Manchester United in the Cup tie. The Red Devils are on an impressive run of form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
