Arsenal and Spurs set to battle it out over signature of explosive Serie A defender

Singo, who plays for Torino in Italy, is a versatile player who can play both right defence and right midfield.

While he is primarily a right-back, Torino boss Ivan Juric has used him more infrequently in that position this season, preferring him at right midfield.

According to CBS Sports, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur scouts have both been watching the 21-year-growth, old’s which has seen him score three goals and record four assists.

Interestingly, with 68.2 percent of his tackles won against dribblers this season, the two-time Ivorian International has the greatest tackle success percentage versus dribblers in Serie A.

Both Spurs and Arsenal are in need of a new right-back.

After a strong start to the season, Takehiro Tomiyasu has found himself out of the Arsenal team in recent weeks, with Cedric Soares taking his place. While Tomiyasu is expected to return shortly, Arsenal is in need of an improvement on Cedric, and Singo may be ideal for the job.

Spurs, on the other hand, are in dire need of a quality right wing-back. Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty have both shown to be below average for the criteria required to make the top four, so bringing in someone like Singo, who is adept at both right midfield and right-back, would be a no-brainer.

His crossing is also not shabby. In terms of completed crosses, he is ranked 11th in Serie A.
