Arsenal are interested in signing Ligue 1 star

The player has been impressive so far this season

Arsenal had a very busy summer as Unai Emery was appointed as the new manager of the club after Arsene Wenger decided to leave the club after 22 years. The Spaniard signed a three-year deal worth £15 million.

After losing their opening two fixtures under the Spaniard against Manchester City and Chelsea, Gunners boast a 100 per cent record since in all the competitions.

Despite not being at their best against Watford on Saturday, they won the match 2-0. The win was their fifth in a row in the Premier League, with victories in the Europa League and Carabao Cup adding up to an impressive run for the London Outfit.

However, it has been suggested that the Spaniard will need more transfer windows to make them strong enough to challenge for silverware and could make more additions during the January transfer window.

Arsenal are facing competition in the chase for Nicolas Pepe, according to the Mirror.

The winger joined Lille last summer for an undisclosed fee, signing a 5 year contract. He established himself as a regular for the club last season and managed to score an impressive 13 goals.

The Ivory Coast International has started the new campaign in fine form with five goals and 3 assists in 8 games.

The 23 year old’s impressive performances have alerted clubs across and has already attracted scouts from Sevilla. He even turned down the chance to leave LOSC in the summer, with Southampton and Lyon came closest to securing his signature.

Manchester United, Barcelona, Sevilla and Everton are also interested in signing the in demand player. They all could move for him in January.

Lille know his signature is in high demand and are holding out for a £30 million offer before they decide their prized asset to leave.
