Several well-known Arsenal players may leave this summer due to their lack of playing time. Since joining Arsenal from Brighton in 2021, Ben White has been a fantastic asset to the team. But since Jurrien Timber recovered from the ACL injury that prevented him from playing in his first season at the Emirates, the England international has been finding it more and more difficult to get playing time.

Arteta was adamant on keeping his backline, the most crucial component of his team, intact even though White was already being linked to leaving Arsenal in January. With other clubs vying for White’s services, things may be different come summertime.

Myles Lewis-Skelly, another full-back who has struggled for playing time, has had a particularly challenging season. The adolescent rose to prominence in 2024–2025 and, as a result of his outstanding performances, was called up for England. Lewis-Skelly was essentially demoted to third-choice left-back when Arsenal decided to recruit Piero Hincapié in the summer. He has therefore had difficulty getting into the pitch, especially in the Premier League.

Five players Arsenal must sell to take the next step

Under Mikel Arteta’s leadership, another season is almost over for Arsenal. As the Gunners are once again in an exciting championship fight with few games remaining and minimal margin for mistake, a similar sentiment is permeating the club’s supporters. With one more game remaining, Manchester City is presently in second position in the Premier League standings, three points behind Arteta’s team.

Ethan Nwaneri, a fellow youngster, could also be leaving. The adolescent, who battled for playing time in the first half of the season and went on loan to Marseille in January, is still the youngest debutant in Premier League history.

Although he has been a consistent player for Arsenal this season, Gabriel Martinelli has often appeared off the bench. This season, the Brazilian has been demoted to super sub. Despite his influence, many believe that Arsenal’s team has moved past Martinelli. The winger, who is still a great asset, might bring in a sizable chunk of money for the Gunners this summer.

Although Gabriel Jesus was Arsenal’s biggest acquisition in the summer of 2022, his position has been declining season after season due to persistent injuries. The Brazilian’s career at the Emirates has stagnated, despite the fact that he is still an excellent player.
