According to reports, Arsenal are interested in signing PSG ght-back Thomas Meunier. Emery was the one who brought Meunier to PSG from Club Brugge in 2016. Meunier has established himself as one of the best right-backs in the world through his stint at PSG.
The Belgian has made 101 appearances for the Parisians so far, scoring 12 goals and 20 assists. Meunier has made 31 appearances this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists.
Manchester United are strongly linked to signing Meunier. The Red Devils need a quality right-back and Meunier is the right option for them.
Arsenal are eager to beat Manchester United for Meunier’s signature. Unai Emery is eager to reunite with the Belgian at the Emirates and PSG have set an asking price of €30 million for him.
Arsenal need a stronger defence and the addition of Meunier would be useful to them. He might even beat out Hector Bellerin for a place in the first XI. However, the possibility of Meunier’s transfer will be better provided Arsenal qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
