Arsenal will meet Tielemans valuation which has been quoted at £40m earlier in the window.
Arsenal could complete a deal to sign Youri Tielemans this week if they launch an offer for the midfielder, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
The North London have been chasing the Belgium international throughout the summer window and Jones said that Mikel Arteta could finally get his man in the coming days.
The Gunners had a great start to season 2022/23 with three wins out of three and they are at the top fo the table. They won their opening three matches for the first time since 2004-2005.
The Spaniard is still hoping to add to his five signings before next week’s deadline.
Tielemans is currently Arsenal’s top midfield target and the Gunners are yet to officially launch a bid for the 25-year-old.
And Jones reckons a deal could move quickly if Arsenal finally make an offer and meet Leicester’s valuation of the player, which has been quoted at £40m earlier in the window.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “Brendan Rodgers knows that Tielemans is still seeking a move to a bigger club, so he was trying to protect his team by leaving him out.
“It didn’t really work out, but I am told he could still leave this week if the offer from Arsenal finally lands.”
Tielemans signed for Foxes from Monaco in 2019 but is yet to sign a contract extension despite his impressive contribution for the Leicester.
