Arsenal Decide To Go After Andre Silva

Arsenal are reportedly lining up a move for Andre Silva.

Calciomercato understands that the Portuguese forward has been picked as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal are hoping to move on from Lacazette this summer with him due to turn 30 and only one more season left on his contract. They are not interested in handing him a sizeable deal when improvements in other areas are necessary.

Silva could be the right man to add some firepower upfront. The 25-year-old has found new life in the Bundesliga since his struggles with AC Milan. He moved to Eintracht Frankfurt permanently last summer for just over €3 million. Now, he has scored 19 goals in 21 Bundesliga appearances.

Silva has been firing on all cylinders after a chaotic first season with Frankfurt. Nevertheless, he is starting to come good for SGE as they have become the most impressive team in Germany this year.

Silva’s key strengths are his positioning, anticipation for goals and heading ability. While he is not much effective out of his position, the Portuguese is quite a dangerous presence in the opposition box. If the Gunners bid for him in the coming months, they could land his services for around €25-30 million.
