Arsenal have reportedly set a €20m asking price for Juventus to whisk Aaron Ramsey away this month.
However, the latest reports claim that the Bianconeri have since backed off from trying to get their hands on the Welsh international this very season. While a contract has been agreed between the two parties, it seems that Ramsey will be seeing out the remainder of his contract with Arsenal.
Unai Emery still values the 28-year-old as an integral part of the club. Ramsey has made 29 appearances so far in the season with 4 goals and 7 assists to his name.
He has been a key ingredient in the Gunners’ success going forward, often taking over Mesut Ozil’s creative responsibilities in midfield.
Massimiliano Allegri has faced a few issues with injury this season in the midfield spot, which prompted the Italian to push for the immediate signing of Ramsey.
Juventus are also looking to secure their 8th consecutive Serie A title this season along with a strong showing in the UEFA Champions League. Ramsey could have added more strength to all an already stacked lineup in Turin and helped the side in their seasonal objectives.
But the Italian giant is not ready to splash such an exorbitant amount when they can sign the midfielder for nothing in another 6 months.
