Arsenal To Make A Move For Yannick Carrasco

Arsenal are considering a move for Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco from Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang.

Unai Emery has been on the lookout for a winger and has preferred Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic. But Inter’s unwillingness to let Perisic leave on loan has compelled them to look for other options in the market.

Carrasco went on to join the Chinese club from Atletico Madrid in a £35m move last year which shook the world. But the Belgium international has struggled to acclimatise with the Chinese conditions and has been very keen for a return to Europe.

Arsenal are interested in a short term loan deal with an option to buy it. It would need a bit of convincing for the North Londoners to pull off a deal. Carrasco’s arrival would put a full stop to Peirisic’s chances of leaving Inter for the time being.

Carrasco’s agent Christophe Henrotay insists there is interests buta deal seems to be difficult. “There’s plenty of interest in Yannick from all over Europe because his family are having problems adapting to China

“He wants to be honest with them, and it’s for this reason that he’s talked to the club, informing them that he isn’t 100 percent focused because of his family’s difficulties [in adapting to China].

“There’s the possibility that Dalian reward this honesty and talk to the clubs interested in him.”
