Arsenal are desperate to add some strength to their attack and the Sun claims they have already come up with a loan offer for Barcelona’s Malcom.
After seeing their bid for Denis Suarez get swapped away by the La Liga giants, Unai Emery is having a go at another one of their ‘misfits’.
Malcom made the switch from Bordeaux last summer but has since struggled for game time. He has made 12 appearances so far this season with just over 400 minutes recorded on the pitch.
The Brazilian thought he would be an integral part of the team’s attacking lineup but is way behind the likes of Lionel Messi, Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and even Rafinha in the pecking order.
Malcom’s contract with Barcelona is set to run till the summer of 2023 and he might just be excess to Ernesto Valverde’s immediate requirements. In order to prevent his progress as a footballer, the Catalan outfit might agree to a loan deal much easier than they did for Denis Suarez.
Arsenal have so far struggled to bring in a number of faces due to a lack of funds. Unai Emery understands that bringing in another offensive piece is necessary to fight the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the race for one of the top four spots of the Premier League.
