According to Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato), Arsenal are strongly considering a move for Ajax striker, Kasper Dolberg.
The report claims that SSC Napoli are plotting a bid for the 21-year-old with Manchester United also expressing interest.
Dolberg has overcome his recent injury history to slot in 10 goals and 4 assists in 27 appearances this season. Since his introduction to Ajax in 2015, the centre-forward was hailed as a quality footballing talent with a lot of potential to succeed in the big leagues.
However, he has spent significant bits of the past two campaigns on the sidelines. Dolberg also has 10 caps for the Denmark national side and plenty at various youth levels. His contract with the Eredivisie outfit is set to last till June 2022 as Transfermarkt values him at €17m in the current market.
Arsenal are already set in the striker department with two of the finest attacking talents in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. They also have chosen to keep their academy product, Edward Nketiah for the remainder of the season instead of just sending him out on loan.
They also have Danny Welbeck but the former Red Devil has been ruled out for the remainder of the season and only has a few more months left in his current deal.
Even if the Englishman quits the Emirates this summer, Unai Emery might have to fulfil more pressing issues of signing a defender or even a winger rather than a striker.
