It is believed that the Gunners are planning to reward the French striker for his recent run of good form by offering him a short-term contract extension

The Lyon-born player has had a tumultuous campaign after having a terrible time at the conclusion of last year. However, he has found some form for Arsenal since the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona in January.

Lacazette has six goals and eight assists in 29 games for the North London club this season across all competitions. In the Premier League, the French star has led the line admirably, averaging 1.8 shots, 1.2 critical passes, and 0.8 dribbles per 90 minutes. However, based on his pass completion percentage of 75.7 percent in top-flight football, he has to focus on strengthening his link-up play a little.

Lacazette’s quickness allows him to make some deft runs with the ball in the closing third. When he is playing with confidence on the field, he is adept at creating a yard of space for himself to get a couple shots on target and can be a dangerous finisher in front of the opposing goal.

The French superstar has a plethora of expertise behind him. In addition, he is familiar with Arsenal and Mikel Arteta’s playing style. As a result, it makes sense for the Gunners to maintain Lacazette since he can still serve as a solid backup striker for them in the coming seasons. At 30, the former Olympique Lyonnais star still has plenty of football left in him.
