Cedric Soares has appeared for three times this season for Arsenal.

Arsenal defender Cedric Soares is on the wishlist of Spanish giants, Villarreal. The La Liga club desperately need someone who can boost their poor defence.

The Yellow Submarine is having a tough season in 2023/24. They introduced new manager Marcelino Garcia Toral, who returned to the club in November having previously been head coach from 2013 to 2016.

Villarreal have lost just one of their seven matches under the new manager and they managed to top their Europa League group after a thrilling victory over Rennes on Thursday.

Winter transfer window is in their plan and Villarreal could plan a potential move for Soares. They need a centre-back in January, especially with Matteo Gabbia set for a return to parent club AC Milan.

As per ESPN (via Diario AS), Groguets are also keen on signing Arsenal full-back Cedric Soares. He has appeared for three times this season for Arsenal.

Soares is likely to leave as a free agent next summer. Despite this, Villarreal wants to bring him in for the second half of the season. His inclusion can offer some quality experience for the Yellow Submarine. Arsenal would look to get some fund.
