Gunners already see Martinelli as one of the key players at the club.

According to journalist Paul Brown, Arsenal holds Gabriel Martinelli in high regard and have no intention of selling the highly-rated youngster.

He is one of the highest-paid players at Emirates and one of the Gunners’ standout players this season. It has led to shock links with a move across London to Chelsea. The youngster has established himself as a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Daily Mail have reported that Chelsea are monitoring his progress following a bright start to the season.

The Brazilian arrived in north London from Ituano back in 2019 and his contract will expire in two years.

Brown said the Gunners already see Martinelli as one of the key players at the club and simply don’t want to lose him.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think Arsenal regard him as one of the jewels in the crown.

“He’s got all the potential to go on and be a really great player and they have no intention of selling him, let alone to a rival.”

The 21-year-old has made just eight league appearances, but he’s already well on his way to beating his best-ever Premier League tally.

Martinelli hasn’t got himself on the scoresheet for five games in all competitions, but the winger did set up Granit Xhaka’s crucial third goal in the north London derby last weekend.
