Arsenal is interested in signing Moises Caicedo, a midfielder for Brighton & Hove Albion, this summer and has held a “conversation with the player’s side” about it

During the upcoming transfer window, Mikel Arteta wants to expand his alternatives for the centre of the park in his Arsenal team.

Arsenal’s top transfer targets this summer, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, appearing on Sky Sports News, are Caicedo and Declan Rice of West Ham United. According to the writer, the team from north London will act rapidly this summer as they try to bolster their roster in preparation for a Champions League bid the following year.

According to The Times, Granit Xhaka, Emile Smith Rowe, Folarin Balogun, and Rob Holding may be sold in order to cover the Arsenal’s prospective £200 million transfer budget. Ben Jacobs, a CBS reporter, recently informed GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal might once again be a contender to sign Caicedo this month. Romano does, however, assert that “all the top English clubs” are negotiating a contract to sign the South American, suggesting that a transfer will not be simple.

As a result of Xhaka’s transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, it now appears more likely than not that Arsenal will sign at least one midfielder this summer. Caicedo, who would reportedly cost over £70 million, would be a great addition for the Gunners if he were to sign, as evidenced by his recent performance in Brighton’s 3-0 win at the Emirates.

The 30-cap Ecuadorian international has played 34 times in the Premier League this season, averaging a 6.94 WhoScored rating. His underlining statistics, which include an average of 2.9 tackles and 1.4 interceptions per game in the top division this season, are excellent, according to the same statistics provider.
