Mikel Arteta was the favourite to become a success at Arsenal.
The Spaniard has been at the wheel since December 2019 and has invested heavily this summer.
The club made decent progress last season even though they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
The Gunners are favourites to finish the season in the top four and Arteta has been trusted with this major responsibility.
Former Gunners Paul Davis who trained Arteta for his coaching badges recalls that the Spaniard had a bright future as a successful manager.
He tells Sun Sports: “Last year when things were going wrong I was still sure he was the man for the job, because I saw what he had to offer when he was doing his qualifications.
“He had so much talent and an incredible understanding of the game, even back then.
“Working with Pep Guardiola would only have benefitted him more and given a greater experience.
“The future is bright for Arsenal with Arteta at the helm, and I am happy to have played my part.”
