According to reports from the Mirror, Arsenal have contacted Inter Milan over a possible move for their goalkeeper Ionut Radu. Radu is currently on loan to Genoa from Inter Milan. Genoa have the option to buy Radu for €9 million this summer. However, it looks like they might face some competition from Arsenal.

Following Petr Cech’s retirement from football, Arsenal need a backup goalkeeper for Bernd Leno. They have already contacted Inter about Radu. Radu has been a regular for Genoa this season, making 6 clean sheets. He managed to help the club survive relegation and book a place in next season’s Serie A.

The fact that Arsenal are interested might propel Inter to ask a sum larger than €9 million from the Gunners. Besides, playing in one of England’s top clubs could certainly appeal to Radu. Of course, the 22-year old will barely find any playing time in the Premier League but he’ll surely be able to start a few Europa League, FA Cup and EFL Cup games.

Arsenal aren’t the only club interested in signing Radu as Lyon are also keeping tabs on the Romanian.
