Chelsea forward Kai Havertz is being monitored by Arsenal
Although Real Madrid is a rival, the Gunners would like to add him to their options up front.
He is apparently Fiorentino Perez’s first choice to succeed Karim Benzema as president of Los Blancos. Madrid is interested in acquiring Havertz, but the £70 million asking price from Chelsea is deterring them.
The five-year contract that Havertz signed when he joined Chelsea in 2020 has two years left on it. He scored a historic winning goal, which assisted the Blues in winning the 2020–21 Champions League.
In addition, Havertz played a key role in Chelsea’s victories in the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup. He hasn’t, however, really proven himself to be a great striker capable of setting the tone for Chelsea. The German can link plays better than most elite strikers on his best day, utilising his body to protect the ball. His unpredictable ending, though, is a significant problem.
Havertz is pondering leaving Stamford Bridge and has expressed no desire in extending his Chelsea contract. If Madrid is unable in acquiring Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, they may increase their interest in Havertz. According to reports, Arsenal is keeping an eye on the situation and may act if the 14-time Champions League champions manage to get Kane.
