Arsenal have made a tiny offer for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana is available on a cut-price deal because of the one-year ban that was imposed on him for doping violation.

Ajax will try to get €7 million for their goalkeeper if the current ban sentence is reduced but will get only €2 million if the ban sentence remains intact.

Arsenal are out in the market for a new number one goalkeeper to replace Bernd Leno at the earliest.

Duncan Castles tells Transfer Window Podcast how Arsenal have launched a ‘tiny offer’ for Ajax’s first-team goalkeeper.

“I’m not sure they’re in the best position, and I’m not sure Ajax will let him go for a cheap deal, but Arsenal have made what is described to me by a friend at Ajax as a ‘very low offer’ for Andre Onana,” Castles said.

“They’re trying to take advantage of that drug ban, which is due to run until February, but Onana is challenging that in court and is hoping that he will be cleared to play again next season.

“Either way, you can understand why Arsenal are trying to get him.”
