Arsenal have no plans to sell Gabriel to Barcelona

This season, Gabriel has progressed tremendously, forging a strong partnership with England international Ben White.
According to football.london, the Gunners are not ready to lose Gabriel and may instead reward him with a new deal. Gabriel has established himself as an important member of the backline since his arrival in 2020. Along with Kierney and summer additions Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Ben White, he has helped to construct a fearsome defence that has kept 12 clean sheets this season, a number surpassed only by Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta sees Gabriel as an important part of what he is attempting to create at the Emirates.
With Alexandre Lacazette poised to leave this summer, many at the club see Gabriel as a serious possibility to take over as captain next season.
