Arsenal’s story of chasing Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid has been on all summer.
The Ghanian midfielder has been in demand all summer. And it has been adding on since his release clause has been at a paltry £44.8 million all summer.
The central defensive midfielder is a typical engine who loves to tackle and can add steel to any midfield. He also is at a prime age of 27 and will deliver excellent years that are ahead of him.
So keeping all this in mind Arsenal launched a £25 million bid for the player which was promptly rejected by the Spanish side. Then the Gunners seemed to take themselves out of the running but are now planning to return with yet another bid for the Ghanian.
Their second bid included a deal with Matteo Guendozi going the other way. However, Guendozi who has been a problem at Arsenal was not wanted by Atletico Madrid either.
It now seems that the player is yet to sign an extension at the club and Atletico might have softened their stance on selling the player.
Arsenal will be excited to sign the player who will be an exciting pairing next to Xhaka!
