Arsenal have registered their interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford

The England international has had his worst season as a Manchester United player and is contemplating his future with the club.

Arsenal are in the market for a frontline striker and will add the name of Manchester United’s striker to their hit-list.

Gunners boss needs a recognised senior forward after losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona.

Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are currently out-of-contract, leaving the Spaniard short upfront.

Rashford has made just nine starts in the Premier League this season and scored just five goals across all competitions. But if Arsenal can secure Champions League football next season, it offers the player the chance to kickstart a career that has hit a downwards cycle in the past 12 months.

There are plans to meet with incoming manager Erik ten Hag in the summer.

If Rashford declares his decision to go, Arsenal, according to Football Insider, is ready to make a bid.

This summer, the Gunners are looking to recruit two attackers, one of whom must be able to play out wide.

Rashford is the ideal candidate for that role, and the 24-year-old has already established himself in the Premier League.

He is under contract through the summer of 2023, with the option to extend for another year.
