Arsenal Receive Offer From Germany For Sead Kolasinac

News coming out of Germany claims that Sead Kolasinac could be one his way to Schalke this summer.

Arsenal are open to selling the defender after some torrid performances from the Bosnian. Arsene Wenger brought him on a free transfer but he has never really kicked off in the Premier League.

The Gunners signed Kieran Tierney last summer to reinforce the position and the Scotsman has rightfully made it his. There is absolutely no way, Kolasinac will win minutes over his teammate or fit into Mikel Arteta’s plans. With just a year left on his deal, it would make sense to sell him on for a profit. His £100-per-week wages are also weighing down on the team’s transfer plans.

Schalke would not mind taking him back, even if they have to pay a small fee. Unfortunately, meeting his €8 million-per-year wages is proving to be the troubling matter. Their ideal situation would be to acquire him on a loan which Arsenal would likely end up rejecting. Kolasinac, no matter how disappointing he has been, seems to be the only backup option to Tierney at left-back.

With other additions in mind, Arsenal could also hold onto the 27-year-old for one more year before releasing him. Other players Mikel Arteta would like to get rid of are Guendouzi, Elneny, Chambers, Holding, Mustafi, Bellering and possibly even Lacazette.
