Arsenal reignite their interest to sign Real Valladolid’s Ivan Fresneda
Jules Kounde is the only right-back who is currently a feasible option for next season, according to Xavi Hernandez, who earlier this week reiterated his desire to sign a new right-back this summer.
However, many of their options have been eliminated owing to a lack of finances as a result of their dire financial situation. As a result, Ivan Fresneda, who is anticipated to depart Real Valladolid this summer as a result of their relegation from LaLiga, is their top target.
This week, Deco met with officials of Fresneda, however a deal isn’t thought to be a top priority right now. According to MD, Arsenal has overtaken Barcelona in the fight to sign the highly regarded youngster, therefore Barcelona is no longer in the lead.
Although their interest had waned in the following months, Arsenal was still very keen in signing Fresneda in January. They do, however, seem to be back in a battle with Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus, and other teams.
Fresneda’s Real Valladolid contract contains a €20 million release clause, but La Pucela are rumoured to be willing to sell him for only that amount. Barcelona may need to act quickly if they want to recruit the 18-year-old this summer.
