However, any potential deal for the former Manchester City star depends entirely on Napoli’s ability to offload Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian striker has already reached a personal agreement with Turkish giants Fenerbahce, but the two clubs remain divided over his valuation.
Napoli are prepared to reduce their initial €12 million asking price, with negotiations expected to settle between €7-8 million including bonuses.
