The midfielder has entered the final year of his current deal

Aaron Ramsey has entered the final of 12 months of his current deal and yet to commit himself to a long term agreement. Talks have been going on with his representative for a new contract over the past few months that have yet to result in agreement.

The London Outfit rejected a £50 million bid for his services this summer as they appeared confident of keeping him for a foreseeable future.

Premier League giants new manager Unai Emery even insisted before the start of the current campaign that he sees the Wales International as a key part of his future plans and has urged the club to offer him a new contract.

However, the midfielder has featured in all the club’s Premier League fixtures so far this season and came on as a substitute against Brentford in the Carabao Cup last week. After losing first two games of the campaign, they have won their next 7 in a row.

But reports emerged that talks over a new deal has broke down and the 27 year old has reportedly turned down club’s latest offer. With no new offer forthcoming it was suggested he could leave next summer as a free agent, with clubs like Juventus, AC Milan, Liverpool and Chelsea interested in signing him.

Sol Campbell has warned Arsenal not to let Ramsey go for free and admitted another contract saga at Emirates Stadium is worrying.

The former Gunners defender told Standard Sport: “It is worrying. Rambo’s a fantastic player, a great guy. It’s a shame but it’s a recurring situation at Arsenal.

“Ozil took a long time, Sanchez as well and then he went. Ramsey’s a top player, losing him for free would be a mistake.”
