Cesc Fabregas remains to this day the youngest player to have ever appeared for Arsenal.

The Spaniard was signed from Barcelona on 11 September 2003 as an academy player but he got to make his senior debut just over a month later on 28 October 2003. He came on as a substitute in a League Cup home tie against Rotherham United.

He also got to become the club’s youngest goalscorer by netting the ball during a 5-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the same club competition that season.

It ended up being a historic season for Arsenal as the North London outfit won the Premier League with an unbeaten streak. However, Fabregas did not receive a winners medal since he did not play a single league game for the side.

Currently, he is playing for AS Monaco.

Rutherford had already spent a decade at Arsenal prior to his association with the Potters. On his return to North London as a veteran, he made over 20 appearances across two seasons. He became the club’s oldest player ever by making an appearance on 20 March 1926, aged 41 years and 159 days.
