Arsenal’s original offer for Sacha Boey was rejected by Galatasaray, a sign that they wanted to pay a greater transfer fee
The outstanding right-back has been identified by the Gunners as a player they want to add to their roster at the end of current season.
They are interested in Boey because Mikel Arteta wants to move Ben White into a central position for the upcoming season and is worried about the injury-prone Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Frenchman has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time, and they plan to make a play for him during the summer transfer window. Galatasaray, according to The Daily Mail, rejected Arsenal’s first offer of £14 million.
The Turkish club is demanding more than £20 million for the young defender, and they seem confident in getting a bid within that price range from one of Boey’s many admirers. Galatasaray won’t be eager to assist us in any manner because they are aware that we are a premier club in need of reinforcements.
Boey is also being pursued by a number of clubs, which encourages his current club to maintain its high asking price. He must be one of our primary goals if we are willing to pay that much for him. If not, we can move on to one of our other transfer targets.
