A pleased Arteta was in a better mood as he reminded Saka, who had another impressive outing, that Arsenal was the right club for him!

Saka has only one year left on his contract and the 18-year-old teenager has been sensational for the Gunners.

Saka has been offered the extension but he is yet to sign it.

‘It’s in his hands,’ the Arsenal manager said after their win over Southampton. ‘He has a manager who has total belief in him and team-mates who adore him.

‘I am very positive that everything is going to be done with Bukayo very shortly.

‘The communications between the club, agents & the family has been going on for months & is very fluent.’

Nketiah is another youngster who was brilliant on matchday. He has been over Alexandre Lacazette on multiple occasions and has now returned the faith of the manager.
