Arsenal had one of the most successful transfer windows in the summer of 2019.

Unusually for the club, they spent over 150 million euros to bring in reinforcements in all departments. The club signed big stars like David Luiz and Nicolas Pepe.

However, amongst so many players who came to the Emirates this season, one underrated under 21 star, Gabriel Martinelli has stood out.

The young kid has a tremendous work ethic and is destined to be a star with his winning mentality.

Narturally, he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. So what does Mikel Arteta think about the possibility of Martinelli leaving North London and joining Spanish giants Real Madrid.

“For me the biggest thing is his hunger, his attitude and his willingness,” said Arteta.

“After that he is obviously a player that is a threat on goal. He can finish, he can run in behind and he is a fighter.

“But his biggest attribute is his personality. Every time he is on that pitch he doesn’t care about what type of game it is.

“He just wants to win and do his best every single day in training and in games.”

“I was aware of him before, but it is different when you know him in person and you find the right reasons why this player is doing what he is at this age.”
