Atletico Madrid & Juventus Contact Arsenal For Alexandre Lacazette

Alexandre Lacazette is currently being pursued by Juventus and Atletico Madrid, according to L’Equipe.

With just two years left on his contract, Arsenal will need to make a decision on Lacazette who hardly seems to start games this season.

The Frenchman scored his first Premier League away goal for the club since February of last year against Wolves. He was brought on as a substitute for Eddie Nketiah, which has become a usual occurrence under Mikel Arteta. Lacazette is still rated highly by the manager, but his poor goalscoring form this season often shields him away from the starting lineup these days.

Atletico Madrid have long been interested in Lacazette since the summer of 2017. They also had an agreement in place before Arsenal swooped in to sign him from Olympique Lyon for £45 million. They seem to have contacted Arsenal once again to take a second run at the 29-year-old.

Inter Milan are viewing him as a potential replacement for Lautaro Martinez while Juventus simply want an upgrade from an ageing Gonzalo Higuain. Atletico have the great option of including Thomas Partey in an exchange deal, one who Arsenal badly want to sign for themselves. Juventus are also willing to engage in exchange talks with a spree of players at their disposal.

Arsenal have decided to hold off all transfer talks until the Premier League season is over. They play Leicester City on Tuesday night, hoping to gain an advantage in the top four race.
