According to reports in Spain, Arsenal strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are in Barcelona’s wishlist for the summmer.
Aubameyang and Lacazette have been two of Arsenal’s best players this season, scoring a combined 50 goals this season. Lacazette was eventually named Arsenal’s Player of the Season.
Barcelona are looking to bolster their forward options in order to have a strong squad next season which can bring the Champions League back to Camp Nou. Barcelona have Ousmane Dembele who can persuade the duo to come to Spain. Dembele used to play with Aubameyang whilst at Borussia Dortmund and Lacazette in the national team.
Arsenal will not play in next season’s Champions League and players of Aubameyang’s and Lacazette’s statures would of course want to play in the Champions League. Besides, being in BArcelona could boost their chances of laying their hands on silverware. Hence, Aubameyang and Lacazette could find the move appealing.
However, given Arsenal’s situation, they would hate to sell two of their best players. If they do, Arsenal will certainly demand a large sum from Barcelona.
