Barcelona To Lure Away Arsenal Striker With £70m Fee

Latest reports claim that Barcelona have set out to acquire Arsenal striker, Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

The Frenchman has been in spectacular form recently, scoring a brace against Valencia to give his team a considerable advantage in the Europa League semi-finals.

He has racked up 18 goals this season while playing alongside a scoring machine like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Blaugrana have reportedly been monitoring the forward closely for some time now, watching him dominate against the La Liga side on Thursday.

Lacazette arrived at the Emirates in the summer of 2017 for £46.5m. He has turned out to be more than just a traditional number nine in this Gunners team.

The 27-year-old is quickly becoming one of the most technical players in the Premier League in his position. He can score, dribble, create while also helping out his teammates on the defensive end.

Lacazette is also known to be very close to Barcelona’s technical secretary, Eric Abidal. With Luis Suarez 32 now, it is quite clear what Ernesto Valverde’s top target is.

Reports have also linked the Spanish champions with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. If they were to splash £70m for Lacazette, would Arsenal agree to the sale?

Unai Emery is looking to raise funds by selling off a few of the club’s best assets but the Gunner boss is expected to turn down any offers for his offensive talisman.
