Bukayo Saka will not be available for upcoming October internationals.

The English winger limped off in the first half of the Champions League clash against Lens last week.

Saka had to be withdrawn due to a hamstring issue as the attacker was not given proper rest after the North London derby.

The young winger has already registered five goals and five assists in 10 games across all competitions.

An official statement is yet to be released from the club but Arteta ruled out Saka from the upcoming international games against Australia and Italy.

“No, he could not make it. He has not had a single training session, so he will be out. He’s not available to play football at the moment,” Arteta told the media.

Last week, England manager Gareth Southgate insisted that he will not risk any long-term damage to the Arsenal winger.

“We’ve got that responsibility of qualifying for the country, but I’ve been a player.

“I’ve never ever taken a risk on a player’s physical wellbeing, and nor would I. They [Premier League clubs] have trust in us that we make decisions that are right for the long term whenever we can.”
