Gabriel Jesus is enjoying his football at Arsenal.

The 25-year-old joined the North London club in the summer in a £45 million deal from Manchester City.

The versatile forward struggled for game time under Pep Guardiola at City but now he is the main man at Arsenal and easily the first name on the teamsheet.

Former Man United player Dimitar Berbatov approves Jesus’ decision to join Mikel Arteta’s squad this summer.

“That’s probably one of the main parts in any football player, who knows that the coach wants him,” said Berbatov. “The best part is that they worked together at Manchester City, so they know each other.

“Now Jesus going there, he said in the interview he was ‘happy at Man City’, but at one point, he didn’t play. If you truly love football, then you aren’t going to be happy when you don’t play.

“When you get the chance to move to a different club. The coach that once you, again a big club, then, of course, you are going to take it.

“You can see how he’s not reborn, but also enjoying football. The goals he scored. How he reads the game inside the box, also he can put players into play. He’s a great player and I love that he changed clubs because now we can truly see the quality that he possesses.”
