21 year old Eddie Nketiah is in awe of Arteta.
The Arsenal striker has been starting several games under Arteta now and become a regular in the first team.
Nketiah believes that young players can certainly be molded to a fine form under the guidance of Arteta.
“Mikel has taught me a lot,” said the Arsenal starlet. “He is definitely very personable. He does a lot of tactical work about understanding your role.
“As a player, it’s great to see the manager going into such detail — it shows how much he cares.
“As a young player, if you have the right mentality, you can definitely improve under him and that’s something I’m trying to do.
“He’s helped my all-round game, given me chances to express myself, make mistakes and try to correct them. I’m learning on the job.”
The Arsenal head coach is himself happy with the presence of Eddie Nketiah, praising himself earlier in July.
“They are evolving and they are really willing and they have a lot of personality to play,” Arteta said. “You can see the way they played today and Eddie as well, the way he came on and how he fights with everybody, he doesn’t care, so I really like that.”
