Hector Bellerin is linked with a summer exit before the transfer deadline.

The 25-year old has reportedly turned down a chance to join Bayer Leverkusen as the club couldn’t meet his wage demands.

The Spanish defender will reportedly make an exit this summer and has attracted interests from clubs like PSG and Juventus.

Since his return from injury, Bellerin struggled offensively in his few games and has seemed to lost his lighting speed he once possessed.

Arsenal legend Charlie Nicholas believes the club should sell the defender only at the right fee.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “I would contemplate and look at, people have been mentioning, somebody like Bellerin if the right money came.

“Now, Bellerin has been a star but since his bad injury he’s never really recovered fully.

“If we can get him fit again and get him going again, then I’m all for Bellerin staying here.”

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta had said: “He’s had a lot of injuries in the past season that hasn’t allowed him to be very consistent, even in training or in the games that he’s played.

“And obviously when that happens your level of consistency in performance will always drop.

“But the effort that he puts in, the commitment that he shows to the club and the players is always at the top. And his performances can improve, of course they can, and he’s trying hard to do that. We are here to help him.”
