Arsenal boss Unai Emery has said that his team’s result, which saw Arsenal lose 1-0 to West Ham United, were concerning but he was content with the squad at his disposal.
“It’s concerning because we need to be competitive at home and away,” Emery told Sky Sports. “At home we feel good, but away we are not getting the results we want.
“Today we had to do more to impose our ideas. If we could have been more competitive with more quality we could have done better.
“It’s a bad result for us, over 90 minutes we didn’t deserve to lose the match because we created more chances. But we did not have the control we wanted, we conceded more corners and chances from which they scored. We need to impose our game more and have more control.”
“Today we had players who could work,” the Gunners boss added. “All we need to do is continue working and taking confidence. We have enough players to continue in our way, the club is working but I am happy with my players.”
Emery also gave a vague reply about the absence of Ozil in a match where Arsenal desperately lacked creativity.
